You’d never expect a fit, healthy 26-year-old to go into cardiac arrest mid-game—but that’s exactly what happened to JoJo…”
One moment he was on the field playing footy with his mates. The next, he collapsed. JoJo was clinically dead for eight minutes. His life was saved thanks to the quick thinking of a nurse and the Staying Alive Health Defibrillator that was working and saved him. Now, JoJo is using his second chance to make a difference. As an ambassador for Staying Alive Health, JoJo shares his story to raise awareness about defibrillator access, maintenance, and CPR training. He’s passionate about making sure every club, every community, and every person is prepared—because it could be the difference between life and death.
